As part of my Leaving Certificate Design & Communication Graphics (DCG) project in 2020, I explored the design and evolution of headphones, with a particular focus on gaming headsets. The project was divided into two main sections: Design & Research and Concept Development.

Throughout the project, I explored several areas of design, including research, comparative analysis, freehand sketching and 3D modelling in SolidWorks, where I developed an original headset concept from scratch. The project received a H1 grade in the Leaving Certificate.

For the concept development stage, I chose to draw inspiration from wildlife and the natural world. This led to The Wild Headset, a concept exploring how elements of nature could influence the form and aesthetic of a gaming headset.
